Sharni Vinson is an Australian-American actor, dancer and actress born on the 22nd of July, 1983, in Sydney Australia. Her acting debut occurred in 2001 when she was asked to appear in the Australian Soap opera Home and Away where she had a minor role in two episodes of the series. Her performance in that limited part was so captivating that the casting agent of the show requested her to be cast in the principal roles in the series. Although she did try out to play the part, she was not selected. She was instead cast in the series in the role of Cassie Turner. The character is young struggling girl living within foster homes.
